| Opened in the mid 1840s, the Folkestone Harbour branchline served as a terminal for many London expresses that needed to cross the channel by means of a ferry, today, on the 12th April 2008, it was closed, 34067 Tangmere made two runs up the branch, this is the last time a whistle would echoe around the small streets of Folkestone. And so, the Folkestone Harbour branch is consigned to the history books! So RIP Folkestone Harbour branch! |
